I invite you to join me for this all day event on July 28th at the Lighted Path Art Studio, Raleigh, North Carolina!! Participants are invited to arrive between 9:30 - 10 a.m. to enjoy coffee or tea and get to know each other a little bit! 10:00 we will have a seat and begin our workshop! First we will learn the basics of drawing a front or 3/4 portrait and "perfecting" it on paper. Once we have our designs down the REAL fun begins! We will draw from scratch or transfer our faces on raw wood. Then we will use a base coat of Absorbent Ground. I will then teach you how to use graphite to shade and watercolors to enhance our already beautiful faces! But just when you thought it couldn't get any more fun, I will teach you how to use Encaustic medium (or hot wax) to embed fabrics or fibers for a glorious hair finale! Top that off with funky fibrous backgrounds and quotes for a fully phenomenal facial mixed media experience you can find no where else! We will conclude the day at 4:00 with show and tells and hugs all around! To see a sneak peek at the project will will be making you can check out this video!
