OK welcome everyone! First things first, these free lessons were not my idea :) The mastermind behind this whole "A Thing Called Love" is artist Brandi Dayton. She is a mixed media artist who lives in Eastern Washington with her family. Brandi has been creating art for her entire life, but really decide to make a go of it about 19 years ago. In 2015 Brandi lost her teenage son in a tragic car accident. At that time her art sisters (some she knew and some she didn't) gathered around her (emotionally and digitally, as many lived thousands of miles away) and started an art auction to raise money for funeral expenses and general support. After some time and the dust began to settle, Brandi decided she wanted to pay back some of the kindness that was paid to her during this difficult time. She decided to put out a series of free lessons called, "The Birds and the Bees" which you can find here: https://brandidayton.com/birds-and-the-bees/. The response was so positive and the vibe she got from students and fellow artists so groovy, she decided to do it again this year, only this time she asked some of her many artists friends to tag along and do lessons too! This is a tremendously talented group of individuals she has rounded up for you! I encourage you to go look up each and every artist listed below to see what they have to offer, you'll be amazed! I also encourage you to visit https://brandidayton.com/ where you can find these classes, along with a slew of other fantastic watercolor classes. As a courtesy, Brandi has allowed me to post "A Thing Called Love" on my website as a way to cross promote the work of each of the artists participating. This baby, however, is entirely Brandi's and I am very thankful for her generosity and allowing me to have you here. So....what exactly can you look forward to?
